Hi Friends,

One of the best aspects of the exciting new world of social media is the amount of connections, networks, and interactions being made between people. People are gathering by the hundreds of thousands all over the Internet, and in this new landscape, physical distance has become an insignificant detail.

With all these options available, a difficult aspect of this amount of connectivity is finding the right place to spend your time. We’d like to point you to a few sites we have found to be a useful in our interaction with worship leaders and their ministries.

First off, join us on Facebook and Twitter.

Along with being a massive network, Facebook is a great new tool where you can easily share your music, give feedback on other music, and explore all the styles and genres. Of all the applications you can add to get your music on your profile, the one that we have found to be especially handy is called “My Band.” “My Band” allows you to set up a music profile for your church worship team or just yourself. Once you've set up your Facebook account and upload some music, send us a message and we will take a listen.

Another effective social networking tool for your ministry is Twitter. The first thing to do once you have created a Twitter account is find people or groups to follow. The usefulness of Twitter will be found when you begin following people, ministries, and groups that have information that is relevant to you. To start out, we recommend following these: WLMagazine, SongDiscovery, Lensweet, vickybeeching, fmckinnon, djchuang. Once you've done that, check out their followers and choose some that are interesting to you.

You can check your home page periodically throughout the day, or use a large selection of Twitter-approved applications to follow your tweets. With even this small base of tweets, you are sure to get insight, encouragement, and you will be directed to some tools that will benefit your ministry. Once you get the hang of the ways people use it, you can start taking advantage of Twitter for your ministry needs, as well.

We are looking forward to interacting with you on these great channels of social media.
