About Dan Radmacher

Dan Radmacher is a singer/songwriter and serves as the worship leader for Christ Church Pasadena in Southern California.  His passion is to help people make a vital heart connection with God in worship, perceiving worship as a time in which we are deeply and radically changed as we glorify our God.

Dan began leading worship in the late 90s at Lake Avenue Church of Pasadena, California, getting his feet wet in the College ministry and eventually forming an alternative worship service called the Warehouse.  At that time, Dan’s passion as a songwriter began to develop, as God began pouring out songs in what seemed like a supernatural way.  He comments, “I have been a poet and a musician—in that order—for my entire life.  Those two loves dramatically came together as God began to take me in a new direction.  Honestly, I wish that songwriting was always that fluid; I believe that God was marking out a course for my life, and so He was whetting my appetite in an unique manner.”

For several years, Dan had been working in the production department at Virgin Records.  Feeling that God was calling him to full-time ministry, he left his job to pursue an M.Div at Talbot Seminary.  While there, he became involved leading worship for Talbot’s spiritual retreats, and eventually for the Institute of Spiritual Formation.   “I began to realize that worship is one of the most powerful tools in the hands of the Spirit to form our character.  However, we must pursue it not as a concert, but as an interaction.  In worship, we enact praise and interact with the Spirit, and in the process, he begins to reveal the truth of our hearts.  Worship is more about spiritual formation than we might have ever guessed.”

While at Talbot, Dan completed his thesis on worship, Experiencing Worship and Worshiping Experience: The Changing Face of Evangelical Worship in Postmodern Culture, for which he was awarded the Zondervan Outstanding Thesis award.

In February 2006, Dan’s second worship CD was released, entitled “In the Space Between.” He said, “Living one’s life means always dealing with the tension of living in the space between one reality and another...and that creates the peculiar dilemma of living with uncertainty and hope, despair and ecstasy, longing and fulfillment superimposed on one another.”  He continues to lead worship at a variety of churches, retreats and conferences, including the 2004 Spiritual Formation Forum at the LAX Hilton, and teaches seminars at Biola University and Talbot Seminary.

Hi Dan, thanks for the friend request. I just listened to your songs and really related to “In The space Between”. How often I find myself there in total awe of such a great God who cares so much for one so small. Keep singing your heart, Bro.

Actually Dan, if you have any advice for me or any places that would be willing to help me get this album off the ground, that would be great. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, Heard “Such Beauty” great song. Yeah I actually live in Los Angeles, very close to Pasadena. I attended Living Waters in Pasadena, and I also love going to the Annual Symposiums that they have. I’ll have to visit your church one of these days. I’m actually trying right now to get an album recorded, so keep me in your prayers. Keep up the good work, God’s plans and thoughts are greater and better.

Hi Dan, Your songs are very beautiful. You have a very unique sounding voice. It’s nice to hear that once in a while. Thank you for writing such annointed songs. Very inspiring. God bless.
