About Scott

Hey ya'll - Please check out my BRAND NEW SONGS:

·      ACT OF SURRENDER (I WILL BOW) (Want a FREE chart? Message me!)

·      TOO MUCH FOR ME (HOW LITTLE I KNOW YOU)

·      TALK ABOUT LOVE

They're from my new CD "Clouds And Fire", which is my attempt at doing something a little ... well, different. I've been describing the record like this:

"Imagine Carole King co-writing with Paul McCartney for a Steely Dan project with the horn section from Chicago (70's version). It's produced by the BeeGees (but we don't let the BeeGees sing)."

You can hear all of the songs from "Clouds And Fire" over at IndieHeaven.com. Please check it out and lemme know whatchu think!!!!

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled bio:

Hey guys, Scott here... I'm resisting the temptation to put a "bio" here - with all of the hype... So instead, let me share a little about who I am and what my ministry is all about.

I've been a singer/songwriter full time for several years, and I recently joined the staff of a great church as a worship pastor. My wife Julie and I have two awesome kids (Emily and Josiah), and we live out in the country with a bunch of cows, goats, dogs, cats, sheep, horses, etc. I'm a city guy, so this is a stretch for me, but for my wife, there's something about taking care of animals that just feeds her soul. So... my next project is building a chicken coop. Hmmm...

I've served all over the US and around the world in places like Ghana, Tanzania and especially in China, where I've been blessed to serve multiple times. God is doing some very cool stuff over there, and I'm excited to be a part of it. One aspect of that ministry is a Mandarin Chinese worship CD that I produced last year (it's being distributed among the house church movement in China). For several years I served with The JESUS Film Project as a rep, and hosted their radio feature "The JESUS Film World Report" - heard on over 300 stations. Now I'm excited about my new partnership with Mission Of Mercy, an international Christian child sponsorship organization (visit www.missionofmercy.org).

Anyway, in the "hype" department, my version of "I Love You Lord" went to #1 nationwide on Christian radio a few years ago, and that has been a great blessing. You may have also heard the songs "Bring Glory", "Great Is The Lord", "Like Incense", "Remember", "Show Them Jesus" or "Talk About Love". God continues to deepen the work He's doing in and through me. God bless!

Please visit my website for more info: www.scottriggan.com and check out my music on iTUNES ...

Hey Scott, Thanks for the add.

I don’t know if you remember coming to Lansing, MI in May of 2000 (I know, that was a long time ago) but you came to our church – Central Free Methodist (with your band at the time). Anyway, you met our family, my wife Katie, our 4 kids and I. The week after you visited our family was in an bad auto accident where two of our children ended up in ICU for close to a week. (everyone is great now) …but what I wanted to mention was that you and your band, lived out what you sang about by sending a care package to our family. I don’t remember everything that was in it, a Veggie Tales video with “God is bigger then the boogie man” and some other things. What we do remember is that your expression of Love was as great example of God’s love for us all.

God Bless you and your ministry. Continue to Love people Scott. Your singing is your “foot in the door” to get close and Love people. Thank you for being God’s “hands & feet” and loving my family through a low time.

Scott – Thanks for reaching out and leaving some comments. We greatly appreciate! Your insight on Mercy was great and encouraging. For some reason, I feel as if we’ve met before… this may be a total shot in the dark, but do you know Kris Donegan? My gut is telling me he gigged with you a little. If I’m wrong, my apologies. Oh… and great tunes! Your take on ‘Hallelujah, What a Savior’ was super cool and unique. Great stuff! Blessings to you! – …ev…

Scott: It will be a blessing to pray for you, your family and your ministry. After 25 years of full time ministry my husband and I moved to an acreage in Arizona from California. It has been a change but we are adjusting. After years of being on a platform, leading worship, doing church ministry, I am finding myself supporting and praying for others who are there now. I help out when needed and enjoy helping with a Celebrate Recovery worship team. I was interested in you being on a farm and having animals. I was raised on a farm in Iowa with cattle, corn and chickens and now I am in the country again – more of a small ranch here. We have room for animals but only have a dog and rabbit for our daughter so far. We may get some cats soon to help with the mice. I will be praying for you.
