About elman

http://www.wix.com/ElmanAuthement/Elman-Authement-Music
Elman, a south Louisiana native, born and raised on the bayou community where family, friends, social gatherings and music had a huge impact on his life. I learned to play guitar watching my dad play and sing, says Elman. By the age of 17, I had already begun writing songs and would entertain my friends. I accepted Jesus into my life in November of 1979 at the age of 22 and within the first few weeks, I had written my first Christian song.
For years I would write songs that were mostly meditative, deep rooted in scripture that I would do as a special usually after the worship service. It was probably at least 7 years before I joined a worship team.
While attending a Kent Henry worship seminar in the late 80's, I went up for prayer and when Kent layed hands on me and prayed, I received the call to lead worship. I remember it so distinctly. I knew I was called to lead worship.
In  the early 90's I began leading worship at Word Of Life Fellowship in Chauvin, Louisiana. It was there I began writing praise and worship music that our congregation would sing. After several years, the church relocated and bought property in Thibodaux, a college town. Thibodaux Family Church became the new name for our church. Within the first year of forming a worship team (TFC Worship Team), we began writing music that was relevant for our worship community. We recorded TFC Praise 1 in 2005 with 8 original songs from 5 different writers. TFC Praise 2 followed up the next year in 2006 with 8 more songs. 2007 was a special time for me. Within a 2 month period music began pouring out of me and I wrote about 10 songs. It was overwhelming to experience the presence of God during those times. With only a few months of releasing Praise 2, we felt we needed to capture these songs and began working on TFC Praise 3. Out of the 14 songs released on Praise 3, I wrote 11 of those songs and cowrote one song with another member of the team.
Doors began to open in 2008 with artists wanting to record my songs. An artist from Canada recorded two of my songs. In February of 2008, CCLI launched CCLITV, a ministry that would allow churches to submit videos of the songs their local churches were writing. I was one of the first people to submit a video in February. Since we had videos of our worship team from our local TV show that our church airs weekly,  I submitted "Faithful God" and received an overwhelming response. Emails began pouring in from all over the United States and Canada for chord charts for the song from local churches. I began submitting more videos and the response was the same. I've received emails from over 30 states nation wide for chord charts for several different songs. At the same time, an artist from Virginia was interested in recording Faithful God on her upcoming CD. Recorded at Creative Soul Records in Nashville, the CD is soon to be released in 2008. Soon other artists would follow. An artist from Abeline, Texas and another from Florida.
I am currently working in the studio on a solo project that includes some of our worship team and other artists from local churches in the area.
I love what I do. God is so gracious to give gifts that allows us to touch not just other people's lives but the heart of God Himself. I pray the music will enrich your lives, draw you into fellowship with the one true God and provoke you to reach out and touch someone else's life.
blessings,

Thank you Elman. I needed to hear that about those songs. I would love to hear them done for an album one day, but they are God’s and He will decide what happens to them. I am just so thankful I have gotten them this far. = ) You’re too kind friend. Thanks for stopping by to listen.

So…… we are doing Faithful God as our communion song. We have done it a couple of times and we are really getting a great feel to it staying in the pocket a little behind the beat, letting it breathe and flow. Andrea our lead singer starts to cry while she is doing her harmony. She is wiping tears as she sings, as does our presiding pastor who is feeling the same touch as she is giving communion. Soon many who are coming up for communion are overcome with the same spirit of complete Grace. We can see them from where we play, the song and the lyric are alive by the grace of God and inviting Jesus and the holy spirit in our worshipers as they recieve communion. How cool is that. God’s Peace Jeff
